Privacy Policy

Retasapp ("we", "us") helps people find and organize pickup sports games nearby. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address and password (handled by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your raw password)
• Username and, if you sign in with Google, your display name and profile photo
• Profile details you choose to add: bio, age, gender, favorite sport, sports interests

When you use the map, we collect:

• Your live device location, with your browser's permission, to center the map and show nearby games — this is requested directly by your browser, not by us
• Details of matches and places you create or join: sport, time, location, player count, and any tags you add

If you upload a photo, we collect:

• Avatar images and match photos you choose to upload (capped at 5MB, images only)

If you accept cookies, we additionally collect:

• Anonymized usage analytics via Google Analytics (pages visited, general device/browser info) — see "Cookies" below

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account
• To show you nearby matches and places, and let others find matches you create
• To display your profile and match history to other users, as governed by each match's visibility setting
• To improve Retasapp, when you've consented to analytics cookies

Third-party services

We rely on the following third parties to run Retasapp. Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting for the entire app
• Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics, only loaded after you accept cookies

Cookies

We only set analytics cookies if you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner. If you decline, or haven't yet responded, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics scripts are loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for Retasapp, which will show the banner again.

Data retention & deletion

We currently don't offer self-service account deletion in the app. To request that your account and associated data be deleted, contact us at privacy@retasapp.com.

Children's privacy

Retasapp is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at privacy@retasapp.com to make a request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Retasapp evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
